The seven Dormy House rooms are newly furnished to a high standard with twin beds and include an en-suite bathroom, digital TV and tea/ coffee making facilities. Accomodation is adjacent to the Clubhouse with views over the course and driving range.
It’s the ideal place to enjoy a memorable golf break with access to all Tenby’s facilities, including bar, dining and snooker room, as well as the club’s new Academy driving range and short course development area.
The 2014 Welsh Golf Club of the Year is within walking distance of the medieval walled town of Tenby, with its quaint harbour where you can take a short boat trip to the monastic Caldey Island, viewed from many parts of the course. It is also the gateway to the fabulous Pembrokeshire coastline, Britain’s only truly coastal National Park.
The course is a breathtaking par-72 links created by James Braid with a considerable helping hand from Mother Nature. It boasts several unique holes, fast and undulating greens, superb coastal views, fast running gently rolling fairways, pot bunkers, blind shots and lightning quick greens.
Several holes will long live in the memory bank, notably the par-4 4th with its green hidden in a dell – you have to ring the greenside bell to let the following players know the coast is clear.
In the height of the season the rough can be extremely rough so it's vital to keep your ball on the short stuff. Watch out for the greens too, they're lightning quick so a red-hotter is essential.
The short holes are pretty special, particularly the 12th which runs along the coast and provides stunning views of Caldey Island. You need to hit a Sunday best shot to find the plateau green – fail and you’re likely to be left with an impossible second shot. A memorable golfing experience...
Tenby Golf Club is a challenging traditional links golf course and regularly hosts Welsh Amateur Championships and is a fine test for players of all ability.
