Little Aston Golf Club

What we say

Great design and very historic. Tight parkland course requiring good judgement especially on approach shots. Quality parkland in excellent condition. A traditional club and a very pleasant parkland.

After a significant facelift to the course, the future looks much brighter for a club which is in its centenery year. The changes include seven new tees and a new position for the 17th green so now there’s water on three sides of it. Little Aston, set in the mature former estate of Little Aston Hall, has a beauty all of its own.

Established in 1908, Little Aston Golf Club features an 18 hole course, originally designed by Harry Vardon. Apart from 4 holes, the layout of the course is the same as the original Vardon design. The course features fairways lined with mature trees, two lakes, and a lot of defensive bunkers, making for a difficult approach to the green, demanding accuracy, and ensuring a challenging game for all.

Your Reviews

  • 4 out of 5 A real pleasure!

    By hindmarshsl

I fortunately have the chance to play at Little Aston around 10 times a year and I can honestly say it is always good! One previous review said that it was easy if you stayed out of the bunkers but that is quite a featas there are around 150 throughout the course so pin point accuracy and length is required. Little Aston is just one of those places that has an air about it… It has something special! if you get the chance to play it is certainly worth it!

  • 3.5 out of 5 Top Parkland Course

    By gslack

Tons of well maintained bunkers. Not a soul there! Given all the rain we've had the course was in great condition though the greens were a lttle fluffy (we are in November after all. A lovely treat that I'm looking forward to playing again when they're leaves on the trees. Not a tough course if you stay out of the sand.

  • 3.5 out of 5 o/a very good

a lovely parkland course in the leafy suburbs of brum. it has a nice mix of holes and most are appealing to the eye, only bad words to say is the 1st and 18th are a bit of a let down in relation to the rest of the course

  • 3.5 out of 5 good but pricey

Not a bad little course but a little on the pricey side.
